I'm using JIRA with GreenHopper and make extensive use of the dashboard.

08 Oct 11	Q I would like to be able to share a search with one particular user and not a whole group, it turns out that this has been a feature request since 2004 :-(
04 Oct11	Q One can assign the "All Watchers" group to get updated when a comment is added to a JIRA. However there is no "All commenters" group, which I find very strange as I would regard it as basic functionality, you don't want people to have to remember to watch every JIRA they comment on. Amazingly this has been a feature request was for 8 years and I just became the 25th voter for it: Add 'all commenters' notification group feature request.
28 Sep 11	Q How can users find issues they have been involved in? A Once can watch relevant issues but out of the box there is no ideal solution. Luckily the Toolkit plugin comes to the rescue. This adds a calculated participants field which can be searched on. I had problems getting the participant field to show in a simple search but one can do an advance search and select `participants =`

24 Aug 11	Q I want to include a tag cloud image in my blog header. A Go to wordle.net pasting in the words, weighted if you want bigger tags. Click on randomize until you are happy with a cloud, you can also change the look on the fly by selecting a different color or font. I wanted to match the background colour with one on my blog. I downloaded Hex color finder which gives you the hex value when you select a color from the screen by clicking and dragging the screen color picker button. This can be used to fill into the background value in wordle under Color \| Edit Custom palette... To resize the image click on Open in Window and resize the window which opens. Then use a screen grabber such as PicPick to save the image. You can also use PicPick to edit the image and overlay any text you might want to write on top. You will need to experiment with the size until it works right on your page. Alternatively if you know the image size which works for you, e.g. I use 340x250 on Skinny Word. Add a header gadget in blogger design, which allows you to load an image instead of title and description.

19 Dec 08	Q My blog has multiple authors, I would like a contributor list, so when a particular author is clicked on, a page opens with their posts. A Add the name of the author as a Label to their posts In Layout add the links of the Labels in a Link List gadget: http://MYBLOG.blogspot.com/search/ label/AUTHOR_NAME. Replace the CAPS. Clicking that link will bring up all posts by that author. You can drag and drop the Link List gadget from the posts column to the sidebar. If you have a tag list it will now show authors, the alternative is to add a separate tag list like the authors. Note that this will not dynamically update with new tags.

A You can add a recent comments widget (uses javascript). This has some configurable parameters but I would still like to be able to:

show the relevant comments under each post rather than at the bottom of the blog
show the last comment last rather than first
show the comment time
show the comment box rather than click for a popup

In Settings | Comments there is now an option to select "Embedded below post"

Q Someone added a spam comment to my blog, how can I delete it?

A To delete any comment in your blog, you have to construct an url of the form: http://www.blogger.com/delete-comment.g?blogID=#blogpostid&postID=#commentid. Read instructions for forming the url on bloggerstop.net.

An option to delete comments was added earlier this year.

I'm working with GreenHopper 4.2 and trying to make it work as a virtual scrum board.

30 Sep 11	Q I have been trying to figure out how to further filter the Taskboard, say by multiple issue types and not showing bugs. I had thought a solution would be for Atlassian to include the issue type as a parameter in the url. A Then many months later I have discovered contexts. One can create a context and link it to a saved filter. Another useful use case is if you want to filter your board across a number of main features. You can tag stories by editing the JIRA issues and applying a label, you would then link your context to a filter which searched for the tag. Note that sub tasks of a story will not show unless they have also been tagged. They can be tagged quickly using JQL, e.g. use this in an advanced search: `issuetype in subTaskIssueTypes() and parent in (KEY-1, KEY-2, etc...)`

These are functionality I would like to have and have not found in any version to date or extension.

Feb 07	Recently I sent some one off emails to a large number of people, since it was one off I did not create a list...all the addresses were bcc. Later I wanted to check if I had sent it to certain people...I had to open up the email and search the bccs list by hand...tedious and non exact. It would be cool if there was a way to search to to/cc/bcc lists in a particular email or bunch of emails. I know one can do a search for certain emails on/after a certain day with a given subject and search in to/cc but you can not search the bcc and this method is not super user friendly. It would be cool to be able to select the emails in question and right click and have a search destinations option...
Feb 07	I often end up going into my sent box and labelling emails sent that I need to follow up on. It would be great to be able to pick a label for an email while composing a message before closing/sending the email.
Jun 06	I have a saved search folder which shows all the messages where label isn't none. When I remove the labels of messages in there the search folder does not refresh. I have to go to another folder and then back to the search folder. This is a known bug.

May 05	Some of my email message dates were changed in the import process from oe and occasionally I get emails with bad dates. For example one is : 06/02/2101 12:28. This is very annoying when you display in arrival order which I generally do. It would be nice to be able to change the date attributes of an email message.
Apr 05	Change case of folder name: create a subfolder named myfolder, then try and rename it to MyFolder. It says a folder with that name already exists.

WordPress full installation

A pretty straightforward way to get your own Wordpress installation up and going is to rent a domain name from a hosting service that provides cPanel access. Download WordPress and upload and extract via the cPanel File Manager. cPanel also allows you to rename/move and edit files. The installation instructions are straightforward and you will be working on your blog within minutes. This section tracks issues I figure out in my use of WordPress.

Copy your file to wp-content/themes/<myFileName>.php, it can include any html but no outer tags, like body, etc In the div "pagepost" section add the include: <?php include(TEMPLATEPATH . '/<myFileName>.php'); ?> As the above link mentions, once you have created the Page Template and placed it in your Theme's directory, it will be available as a choice when you create or edit a Page. If you make change's to the template the page needs to be republished.

Eg, I would like to have bookmarks on the top half and my Scrapbook on the bottom, in other words the ability to tile sidebars. I’ve found WinMerge to be a lot better comparison tool than StarTeam’s inbuilt one, it can easily be integrated to StarTeam.
